About
Lindsay, originally from Paradise Valley, draws inspiration from the vibrancy of the 1980’s design movement, “Memphis Design”. Fascinated since childhood by its bold shapes and color, Lindsay found herself captivated, constantly endeavoring to emulate its distinctive furniture and patterns. This fascination permeated all her creative pursuits, whether it be painting, jewelry making, or fashion design.
Following her passion, Lindsay pursued a degree in Fashion Design from the Art Institute of Chicago, finally getting to immerse herself and be in residence with a like-minded group of people. Following graduation, she moved to New York City to work in the fashion industry. In 2001, she returned to Phoenix, where she became a mother to four daughters. Though art took a backseat during this busy period, the pandemic brought about a surplus of time, prompting her to dust off her sewing machine to make masks and scrub caps for healthcare workers, including her sister. This act reignited her artistic fervor and she began painting again.
Today, Lindsay's artistic expression takes on a minimalist approach, drawing from her local roots and global travels. Her work organizes shapes, colors, and patterns into rhythmic arrangements, evoking a sense of liveliness and playfulness. Lindsay holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, specializing in Fashion Design.
